Our research for better solutions

Whether security-related topics, machine learning or AI for the logistics processes of tomorrow: our world has never been so dynamic. That is why we are working together with ETH Zurich, the University of Pisa and in projects with the EU on new ideas, solutions and approaches for the software challenges of the future.

Partnerships

We turn ones and zeros into innovations

Research at the cutting edge
Our goal: constant innovation. We are constantly researching new methods and technologies in order to always offer our customers the best solutions.

Partnerships for progress
To achieve this, we work closely with leading colleges and universities.

Making the future smarter

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a central role in our research projects. We use machine learning to revolutionize the logistics processes of tomorrow and solve safety-relevant issues.

Research projects

In these projects we research

Combating extremism (EU project Horizon 2020)

We develop IT-supported risk profiling methods to combat extremist threats. This results in our software solution MAPA (Monitoring and Risk Assessment for Potentially Political Violent Actors), which helps to identify potential threats at an early stage.

Algorithmics and AI (University of Pisa & ZHAW Zurich with 6 police organizations)

This project uses network models and state-of-the-art techniques of explanatory machine learning to better analyze and predict criminal offenses. The biggest advantage is that our methods make it possible to analyze the number of unreported cases and thus also partially cover unknown areas of crime.

Civil Security (EU project Horizon 2024)

Our aim is to increase the protection of citizens in public spaces against new threats such as crime and terrorism. We are developing new methods and forms of analysis for text, images, audio/video and their correlation in order to detect and ward off potential threats from modern technologies such as drones at an early stage.

Disposition engine with machine learning (University of Pisa)

We are working together with the University of Pisa on methods and algorithms to optimize our scheduling engine with the help of machine learning. The system will then continuously learn on its own and improve the scheduling suggestions accordingly. We will be implementing the first pilot tests in practice for selected customers as early as 2025.

Sustainability as a software company?
Of course!

Although we develop software, our solutions have a major impact on our customers' resource conservation. Our technology enables efficiency increases and process optimizations that save resources and reduce emissions. Through forward-looking material planning and intelligent optimization, we help to optimize material- and energy-intensive processes.

Living sustainability: Saving resources and thus reducing theCO2 footprint

Our solutions lead to cost savings, for example through optimized route planning, which reduces travel and vehicle costs. The result: better planning of material costs and the promotion of climate neutrality in companies.

Taking responsibility every day

Working conditions, accessibility and diversity. We have been growing solidly and continuously for over 25 years - organically and inorganically - always at a healthy pace. Quality is our top priority and we focus everything on the long term.

With LogObject, you are not only making a contribution to digitalization, but also to sustainability and social responsibility.

"We found that the way we planned and coordinated our field technicians was quite poor. It depended a lot on the knowledge of the dispatchers, and the technicians often had very little time to get to different locations on opposite sides of a mountain valley. The new mobile devices have really helped us to update our planning and dispatching process. We now have more information about what our technicians are doing and can provide them with significantly more information to help them carry out their work."

Mass data analysis (KLLaRA)

Assistant for knowledge-based linked learning and logical thinking

In the area of finance, customs and police work, large volumes of documents and large amounts of data (big data) must be constantly evaluated.

On the one hand, many individual documents (MS Office format, PDFs, scanned documents, images) with data and, on the other hand, data supplied by third parties have to be evaluated. Particularly in investigations involving several parties or investigations on the Internet, data is generated that is difficult to manage, analyze and present.

Since such volumes of data cannot be processed by conventional means, we have developed a system tailored for such applications in collaboration with experts to support investigators and analysts in their daily work.

The AI-based "Assistant for Knowledge-based Linked Learning and Reasoning" - KLLaRA - helps you to solve the above-mentioned tasks much faster and more efficiently.

Raw data from various sources can be imported and enriched with internal data (basic databases, case numbers, case management, geodatabases, crypto wallets). Special functions also make it possible to add large amounts of customer data, enabling a more objective field of vision when analyzing data. If required, the system is also able to independently form clusters and combine these into cases. These can be written up autonomously, enriched with tables or data blocks and output. Of course, these messages can be automatically stored in our task/case database. This means that they can be tracked statistically at any time. Feedback can also be added to the individual tasks in order to obtain additional information in the future.

Particularly in the area of criminal law, KLLaRA supports not only AI-supported raw data analysis and case creation but also evidence management and enables legally compliant and meaningful statistics.
